Registered sex offender accused of exposing himself to young girls in Abington

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTXF) - Police have arrested a registered sex offender who they say sexually harassed multiple young girls.

On June 12 police say three, 15-year-old girls reported a man exposed his genitals to them while they were inside the Wendy's Restaurant located at 733 Huntingdon Pike in Abington Township.

After further investigation, officials found he attempted to follow the same group of girls back in March at a Huntingdon Valley Shopping Center, but they were able to get away from him.

Investigators quickly identified the suspect as Mitchel Rosenberg, 64, from the 3400 block of Ryan Ave. Philadelphia. Police say he is a registered sex offender and had other previous offenses similar to this one and is a registered sex offender.

Police issued a warrant for his arrest and on June 19 Rosenberg turned himself in to Abington Police.

His charges include unlawful contact with a minor, indecent exposure and open lewdness. He was transported to Montgomery County Prison after failing to post $100,000 cash bail.
