Strippers Raise Money For Children In Need With "Tatas for Toys" Drive

A group of Oregon strippers will be doing what they do best next week...but this time they'll be doing it for the children.

For charity, of course. In an event aptly dubbed Tatas for Toys, 13 dancers will take to the stage at the Portland fundraiser created to benefit needy children at Christmastime.

Organized by local comedian and late-night host Aaron Ross, Tatas for Toys is in its fifth year. Last year, the ladies raised a record $3,071 and used it to buy Christmas presents for kids at a local children's hospital.

This year, Ross and his dancers hope to break the $4,000 mark.

"It'll be just like that moment in the club," Ross told last year's attendees. "Get the ones out, and other denominations, and start throwing them up there."

Attendees will bid on gift baskets provided by the event's sponsors, which include Jim Beam, reports the Oregonian.

The dancers will not appear fully nude, but will be topless, according to the Oregonian.

The Dec. 22 event will also feature male dancers for female attendees as well as musical performances.

The day after the event, the strippers plan to run out and spend all the funds on toys before they don their gay apparel and spread Christmas joy to patients at Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
