Surveillance video shows Florida suspect chewing off fingertips to avoid being identified

LEE COUNTY, FL (WTXF) -- Shocking surveillance video shows a Florida man chewing the skin off his fingertips trying to avoid identification, according to police.

The footage was captured inside a police patrol car.

20-year-old Kenzo Roberts was in the back, detained.

Police took him into custody after a traffic stop that involved a stolen Mercedes-Benz. Also he allegedly had a concealed firearm, three fraudulent credit cards, and a fraudulent ID.

Roberts was unsuccessful in his attempt to not be identified as a fingerprint scan revealed that he had two felony warrants out for his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, according to Lee County Sheriff's Office.

He was also charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Counterfeit Credit Card, Grand Theft Auto, Possession of a Concealed Firearm, Possession of Similitude of a Driver's License, Driving while License Suspended, and False Identification given to law enforcement.

In addition, Border Control was contacted and according to Lee County Sheriff's Office, they determined that Roberts was in the country illegally.
