Teen finds herself with a big purple problem, internet finds it funny

(FOX NEWS/STORYFUL) - A 15-year-old girl got stuck in a giant Barney dinosaur head, and the Internet can't stop laughing.

Sunday night, Darby Risner tried to play a prank on her friends by dressing up as Barney, but her plan backfired when she couldn't remove the head of the costume and became stuck in it.

"The head was closing in on me,'' Darby said. "It was like a stuck-in-a-small-place-and-can't-get-out-panicking."

Risner's friends tried everything from trying to pull it off themselves to using Vaseline to lubricate her head, but nothing worked.

Instead of waiting for the fire department, Darby, her friends, her brother Logan who was filming his sister's predicament, and one one of her friends' parents drove to the station themselves.

After first laughing and then making a few cuts in the back of the costume's head, firefighters were able to spring Darby free, ending her 45-minute ordeal inside the head of the purple dinosaur.
