These Alleged Robbers Misspelled 'Sheriff' When They Posed as Deputies

(FOX NEWS)- Three suspects accused of impersonating sheriffs probably should have used spell-check.

Authorities say that 25-year-old Kevin Rodriguez, 32-year-old Thomas Fleming and 37-year-old Unkham Artphasook posed as sheriff's deputies to rob homes. Authorities say that the three men targeted homes with marijuana-growing operations.

Cops found security badges, a gun belt, a baton and two green flight suits that said "Fresno Sherif," instead of "Fresno Sheriff."

Authorities also found a stolen passport and credit cards, meth pipes, ammunition and a shotgun.

The men have been charged with illegal possession of firearms, ammunition and drugs.
