Transgender Ken doll cakes causing controversy

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (WTXF) - A bakery is coming under fire for creating a transgender Ken doll cake, not one but many.

Employees at Freeport Bakery in Sacramento say they've had an order a day requesting the special cake -- for the past two weeks.

This one in these pictures is pretty in pink with butter cream from head to toe, with a sparkly dress and a crown.

The cake quickly became a viral sensation, but critics aren't happy with the bakery.

Its head decorator says she doesn't mean to upset anyone with the cakes, but just wants her customers to be happy.

If you're interested in having one shipped, it's the Freeport Bakery in Sacramento. The price starts at $44.95 and can go all the way up to $90, depending on the decor.
