Victims in Northeast Philadelphia shooting identified

Police say a man held for questioning in the shooting deaths of two women inside a Northeast Philadelphia home.

Philadelphia police say a 911 call brought them to 1234 Greeby just after 11 p.m. Monday night. When they arrived they found 66-year-old Adeline Hill dead in her wheelchair on the first floor and her 42-year-old daughter Renee Cosom lying dead in a second floor hallway. Cosom's 39-year-old boyfriend, who lived there as well, answered the door. He's now in police custody.

The younger woman's 39-year-old boyfriend answered the door. He's now in police custody.

"The investigation is still very early in its stages and we still have a lot more work to do before we can go further. But it this point it appears that the 39-year-old is we are looking for," Philadelphia Police Homicide Unit Captain John Ryan said.

Investigators said they recovered a handgun from the murder scene. No charges have been filed.
