VIDEO: Fishtown Grinch Returns Special Delivery Stolen From Home

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Surveillance footage captured a man allegedly stealing a package from the front door step of a home in Philadelphia's Fishtown neighborhood.

Little did that Grinch know, that package was actually a very special delivery.

Now, after his alleged crime was shown on FOX 29 Tuesday night, the man had a change of heart.

Or, in the case of a Grinch, had his heart grow three times larger.

Diana Plucinski got sick to her stomach watching the video. Her own surveillance system caught a man and a girl walking down Marlborough Street stop, open a box and walk off with the gift inside. It happened just 15 minutes after the package was delivered by FedEX.

The Fishtown mother ordered a toy wagon for her 1-year-old daughter Brooklyn. She was suffering from complications from a premature birth, so Brooklyn spent last Christmas in Children's Hospital. This year would be her first real Christmas at home and that gift was to help the little girl with her physical therapy.

Plucinski contacted police and has handed the video over to detectives. Plucinski says it's not the money from the stolen gift she's worried about. She's more concerned that this man may be using a kid to steal from other families at Christmas time.

Wednesday morning, Diana reached out to FOX 29's Chris O'Connell with an update. Her surveillance cameras appeared to show that very same man return to her front porch.

This time he was making a drop off. Not a pickup.

The man drops the wagon on the front step of the home, and gives a knock on the door before walking away.

Philadelphia Police say they would still like to talk to the suspect.
