VIDEO: Man and his dog rescued during flash flood

A man and his dog became trapped during a flash flood and were rescued by firefighters.

During a storm in Colorado on Sunday, a man and his dog became surrounded by water and were trapped inside their car. The Florence Fire Department arrived on scene and used a ladder extended from a fire truck to save them.

Fremont County Sheriff's Office posted a video to their Facebook page of the rescue. The post explained, "The man and his dog were saved from the water after parking in a dry creek bed that quickly became flooded after today's rains off Phantom Canyon Rd."

The video shows the firefighters extending a ladder to the two before the man pushes his dog out of the window and onto the ladder. After his dog is safe, he climbs out as well.
