WATCH: Firefighters use mother duck recording to help rescue ducklings

Firefighters in Boise, Idaho, had to get creative when they rescued ducklings from a storm drain on Tuesday, May 8.

The baby ducks had crawled into the pipe attached to the storm drain, so the firefighters took a recording of the mother duck to lure the ducklings out of the pipe. The firefighters were able to get all of the ducklings out of the drain and reunite them with their mother nearby.

"A happy early Mother's Day gift for this mom duck," the fire department said in a Facebook post.
