Woman accused of driving car with homemade license plate made from cardboard

In case you are wondering, homemade cardboard license plates are NOT legal.

(STORYFUL) Authorities say a deputy from the Erie County Sheriff's Department in Buffalo, New York, pulled over a woman on March 3 for driving a car on which hung a homemade license plate made from cardboard.

According to a police, Amanda Schweickert is facing a felony charge for driving the car with a piece of cardboard that had been painted to look like a New York license plate.

People found the idea hilarious, as comments under the post: One person suggested, "Wouldn't it have been much easier to just photograph a real plate. Print it out in color then apply to cardboard?" Another noticed, "She even worked really hard on the teeny tiny NYS icon between the plate #'S."
