NEWNAN, Ga. - Two women visiting their parents' gravesite become victims of a crime.
Newnan Police said they have surveillance video of the woman wanted for the incident. Investigators said the woman used stolen credit cards taken from a vehicle that was parked at the graveyard while the victims visited a gravesite.
Police are not sure if it's the woman broke into the cars or not, but she was captured at multiple stores shortly after the car break-in at the cemetery.
Two women, visiting their parent's graves had left their purses in their car parked a few yards away. Police said the thieves knew it too and preyed on vulnerable people in what should have been a sacred location.
It happened in Newnan's Historic Oak Hill Cemetery in broad daylight. The cemetery is right across the street from the police station.
A short time after the car was broken into, she was using the victims' credit cards at two different grocery stores to buy gift cards. Police said gift cards spend like cash and are harder to trace.
She is seen wearing a distinctive sweatshirt under the black coat in the surveillance video.
