CHOP poison control center doctor talks e-cigarette concerns
PHILADELPHIA - Many first turned to e-cigarettes or vaping in an attempt to wean themselves off of traditional cigarettes. But they've become trendy, and concerns are mounting.
The FDA is currently investigating a possible link between e-cigarettes and seizures in young people.
Dr. Robert Bassett of the Poison Control Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia wants the public to know there has been a steady increase in the number of calls reporting young children sickened by e-cigarettes.
Bassett joined us live on "Good Day Philadelphia" Tuesday morning to discuss the types of cases they're seeing at CHOP.
