Malls busy with hustle and bustle of last weekend of the season

Retailers are expecting Saturday to be the busiest shopping day of the year. Experts say Saturday could be busier than Black Friday.

Super Saturday, as it is being dubbed, is another blockbuster shopping day for retailers just before Christmas and there was every indication that shoppers, especially those who missed the online deals, were all in.

There was live music at the mall, unlike the atmosphere while shopping online, as the countdown to Christmas narrows.

"I didn't shop online because I prefer to walk in stores and look at things. I think it's more fun," sad Alexa Scott.

And, from the looks of it, there are plenty of people doing it all in the mall or mostly in the mall, on Super Saturday. And, where else can a person get stress relief while they shop?

"Aren't you supposed to be shopping? What are you doing?" asked Fox 29's JoAnn Pileggi.
"I don't know what I'm doing," said a shopper getting a massage.
"You're getting a massage and your list is staying the same, have you been shopping yet?" asked Pileggi.
"No," said the shopper.

Retailers, taking advantage of a full weekend right before Christmas, luring in shoppers with sales and extended hours.

"I see no bags in your hands," said Pileggi.
"That's because I just got here. And, it's crazy in here, okay? But, when you see me when I come out, I will have tons of bags," said Ashley Davison, a last minute shopper.

The Lin Family arrived at the mall early and had a lot to show for it after five hours.

"It's Christmas presents for my whole family," said Ren Lin.
"You look like you're taking a break here, are you already tired of shopping?" asked Pileggi.
"Yeah. It's been a long day," said Lin.

Busy day for Santa, but that's how it goes.

Regardless, the final countdown is on.

Most major retailers extended their hours during the final shopping days. Stay calm and keep a smile on and it will all get done.
