Pellet gun forces lockdown at Upper Darby middle school

An Upper Darby middle school was placed into a lockdown early Thursday morning after a report of a gun outside the school.

Upper Darby Police later reported a pellet gun had been recovered after a report that a student had displayed it on their way into school.

Police say the pellet gun never made its way inside the school, and was found hidden on a nearby side street.

No injuries were reported, and the school has since returned to normal operations.
