Police: 3 juveniles charged after video shows 14-year-old beaten up behind K-Mart

Police say that three teens have been charged after disturbing video showing a 14-year-old being beaten up circulated on social media recently.

According to authorities the beating happened behind the a K-Mart on MacDade Boulevard in Holmes Pa. on Mar. 16th.

"No one has any respect for life or anybody anymore," said one parent.

Police used the video to identify the three alleged abusers and charge all of them as with assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Investigators say a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old from Interboro High School. The third victim, police say, was a 14-year-old classmate of the victim's at Ridley High School.

18-year-old Jade Bryant says she is disappointed but not surprised to see several other students recording the attack on their smartphones.

"It's the social media era, everything we do is online," said Bryant. "Whether it's good or bad, it's an instinct with people in my generation to bring out their phones."

Police say the victim was injured in the attack. They also believe the Freshman may have been bullied since suffering a traumatic brain injury years ago.

"Today's kids think it's funny, they think it's all fun and games until they get caught," said Maurice Forning.
