Suspect shot, killed by U.S. Marshals serving warrant

OXFORD CIRCLE (WTXF) - "He was so kind hearted. He had the biggest heart ever...sorry."

An emotional Shirley Beal speaks about her son, 28-year-old Kenneth Robledo, who they called Alex.

He was shot by U.S. Marshals after allegedly pulling a gun on them while they tried to serve a warrant along the 1300 block of Hellerman in Northeast Philadelphia.

"He has mental problems so he's like a loose cannon so, it didn't surprise me."

"It was like 10:30 just woke up and three loud bangs out of nowhere," a witness said.

"That's when I went upstairs and I seen two bullets in the back and one you know when he got shot."

Investigators say the Fugitive Task Force had been on the hunt for Robledo for shooting a man back in July on the 400 block of West Huntingdon in Philadelphia.

"There's an individual sitting on the steps at that location. This male apparently with two others, he exits and begins firing at this individual that's sitting there."

That victim survived but police say Robledo had been on the run ever since.

"I didn't know he was here at all. I've been looking for him and trying to talk to him and everything but the phone number he did have he must have changed it right away so I couldn't contact him or anything," Beal said.

Beal remembers the last time she talked with her son, right after that summer shooting.

"He said he didn't want to live anymore. He was tired of living. That's the last thing I heard from him, and that he loved me a lot."

She says she had a bad feeling that something would happen.

"It was hard because I was washing clothes the other day and found a pair of his shorts and started crying and I felt like something was going to happen because I've been crying all week and missing him. I didn't even know that this happened today until somebody seen it on the news and called me."
