The community came together to remember 2-year-old Lindsay Pham Vo identified in a prayer card at a vigil remembering her very young life tragically cut short in a car accident at the Haverford YMCA Saturday.

"The mother was just sobbing uncontrollably." Peggy Murr says she met little Lindsay's mother at a viewing earlier Tuesday evening and cannot get over how emotional it was.

"She gave me the biggest hug and wouldn't let go. She was so sweet. The husband was so kind he kept thanking me and thanking me," she told FOX 29.

Murr was among at least a couple hundred mourners who gathered for this memorial even though many never met Lindsey or her family. Most people who attended are members of the YMCA where Lindsey died so they felt compelled to be there.

Police have said they do not expect charges against the driver and call it a "tragic accident". Police say the little girl walked away from her mother and sat down between cars. The driver striking her once he pulled into a parking space, telling investigators he never saw her.
