Woman Escapes Stuck Car Before Freight Train Makes Impact in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, PA (WTXF) - Officials are looking to uncover what caused a car to become stuck on a set of train tracks before being struck by a freight train in Montgomery County.

Authorities tell FOX 29 the female driver was able to escape before the impact and was not hurt.

The woman's car became stuck on the tracks near 2nd and Depot in Bridgeport just before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

No one on-board the Norfolk Southern freight train was injured.
