'You Have to Work for It': Martha Stewart Says Millennials Lack Initiative

(FOX NEWS) Martha Stewart wishes millennials had more work ethic and ambition.

In an interview with Luxury Listings, the lifestyle guru lamented that the younger generation doesn't have the "initiative" to move out of their parents' homes.

"I understand the plight of younger people," Stewart said. "The economic circumstances out there are very grim. But you have to work for it. You have to strive for it. You have to go after it."

Stewart said that when she got married at age 19, she immediately moved into an apartment and took pride in fixing it up cheaply but comfortably.

She added that she was recently encouraged by restaurateur David Chang to focus on educating young people about cooking, gardening and decorating, skills many of them lack.
