Suspected drunk driver arrested after fatally striking motorcyclist in Southwest Philadelphia
SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - A man has died after a suspected drunk driver struck the victim's motorcycle in Southwest Philadelphia overnight, according to police.
Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, a truck driver crossed into the wrong lane and struck the 54-year-old motorcyclist, who was traveling westbound on the 6200 block of Passyunk Avenue.
The victim was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was prononuced dead just after 6:30 a.m.
The truck driver, who was hospitalized in stable condition, was arrested. He has yet to be identified.
