Illegal Philly car meetup ends with arrest after police pursuit, officer-involved shooting

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are releasing new details after at least 50 vehicles gathered illegally over the weekend, sparking a chain of chaotic events.
Officers arrived at the Target on Monument Street late Saturday night to find multiple vehicles fleeing "erratically."
Timeline:
One vehicle, a red Camaro, was pursued after being determined to be a frequent participant at illegal car meetups in Philadelphia.
After losing the vehicle on I-76, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver sped off once again.
The vehicle then struck a police wagon, a patrol vehicle, and an officer, who hit her head as she fell to the ground.
Police say another officer drew his firearm and fired one shot, striking the passenger side window.
The pursuit was eventually terminated due to "hazardous" conditions after the vehicle two civilian vehicles, along with another patrol vehicle.
The vehicle was recovered unoccupied with heavy damage as the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Quron Banks, was found at a local hospital.'
He was treated for a gunshot wound to the neck, then charged with Aggravated assault, Causing a Catastrophe, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude an Officer, REAP and related charges.
The struck officer, a 36-year-old one-year veteran of the department, was treated and released.
What's next:
The discharging officer, who is 35 years old and a 14-year-veteran of the department, has been placed on administrative duty pending an investigation.
