PennDOT and Philadelphia city leaders celebrated the setting of the first steel beams for the permanent reconstruction of I-95 in Northeast Philly Thursday.

Businesses impacted by the fiery collapse of Interstate 95 earlier this month say they are starting to see normal volume of customers again following the highway's expedited reopening.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Philadelphia city leaders gathered Sunday with union workers for a celebration honoring the construction crews who worked around the clock to get the I-95 temporary highway rebuilt.

A NASCAR jet dryer, a high-powered jet engine that is used to dry NASCAR tracks, was sent to the I-95 construction site to aid in the rebuilding of the highway.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution once the new temporary lanes are open on I-95 in NE Philadelphia.
